What is Bouncing Statistics ?

- Only 31.6% of pupils eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) achieved grades 9-4 in
English and Maths at GCSE level, compared to 59.2% of non-FSM pupils.
- Students from the most deprived areas are significantly less likely to remain in
education, with only 47% expecting to be studying in two years compared to 63%
from the least deprived areas.
- Children from single-parent families often experience lower educational attainment due to financial and emotional strains.
- Only 45.5% of young people whose parents have qualifications below degree level plan to remain in education, compared to 67.5% whose parents have a degree.

The Shining Light Mentoring

The Shining Light Programme does just that, it accentuates and magnifies the positive skills and traits of pupils assisting them to become the shining light that educators can often see.

At Bouncing Statistics, we are aware that many students face challenges both within school and at home. It can be difficult for educational settings to provide the necessary resources to support the young person.

Here we work holistically alongside SENDCo’s, Pastoral leads and SLT to support their young people. Schools can expect to have an experienced and relatable mentor, a proven programme which not only improves behaviour, but also inspires the passive learners.

With key indicators showing improvements for attendance, punctuality, readiness to learn and confidence. This approach has enabled the development of many young people to take their steps forward towards a brighter future.

The Shining Light Programme is beneficial to both primary and secondary school students and will be adapted dependant on the participant. Whilst we are able to accommodate and work with a group of schools, whether this be via locality DLP approaches, academies or definitive consortium objectives. Allowing us to build a model to support a number of schools in accordance with your needs for your given project.

Academic Tutoring - NTP

Bouncing Statistics is an accredited tuition partner of the National Tutoring Programme. The programme provides funding for both secondary and primary schools to spend on targeted academic support.

Our years of experience working with young people through mentoring programmes in schools and through our own camps has given us a unique approach to tutoring.

We create bespoke programmes over the 15 hours that include baseline, formative, and summative assessments; using metacognition techniques to improve student memory; and regular check-ins with class teachers. We take pride in quality and feedback from the students, teachers, and schools.

Private Tutoring

We know the importance of education and the opportunities that can be created by obtaining good grades. However, historically such support was out of reach for many families.

Here we have bridged the gap, providing an experienced teacher, at an affordable rate.

We are vastly experienced as an organisation, having delivered 1000’s of lessons and we are able to use an array of metacognition techniques to improve student memory.

Whilst we will include baseline, formative and summative assessments to ensure that there is student progress. We are able to deliver based around a student’s needs, whether this be focused on 11+, GCSE’s, A Level’s. We pride ourselves on providing an effective solution.

Holiday Activities

When it’s the holiday period, we know that this is an exciting time for our young people. Furthermore, we know it can be difficult for parents and carers, where you may still have many responsibilities. Therefore, making it important to find safe and enjoyable child care.

We are able to provide camps which allow participants to make a host of new friends and try a range of various different sports and activities. Further to this, we allow our young people to obtain skills which shall assist them on their journey of progression.

They can take part in workshops, such as first aid, communication, self-regulation, emotions, virtual reality sessions and much more.

Camps will be run by experienced staff, who shall follow strict procedures whether this be sign in and out guidelines, risk assessments or even the correct handling of food. As ensuring the safety of young people throughout their camp experience is paramount.

Growth Mindset Workshop

This workshop explores the links between attitudes and traits, to the approach and mindset needed to be successful, thus encouraging participants to explore the journey of how to become the best version of oneself.

Paying particular attention to the tangible examples of others around us, exploring their mentality and routes to success. Whether this be JK Rowling, Serena Williams, Elon Musk or Cristiano Ronaldo.

This workshop is completely adaptable and can be tailored for classes from key stage 2 to key stage 4. Participants can expect to receive in session resources and a facilitator who can dissect the need for ambition and resilience.

This workshop shall be delivered within an enjoyable and safe environment, where all learners are encouraged to engage. In order to boost their confidence and knowledge of success, all whilst supporting the school’s curriculum and assisting pupils to develop an improved mindset towards education and life.

Transition

It is no secret that the transition from year 6 to year 7 can be a daunting one for many of our young people.

This workshop gives a unique take and perspective on the next step of education for participants. Covering areas such as professionalism, peer pressure all whilst promoting a pursuit of excellence and ownership within a new environment.

Throughout, pupils are encouraged to express their feelings on the upcoming challenge and following the workshop they shall leave ready to embrace the opportunity that awaits them.

Knowing that their primary school has armoured them with all the necessary tools and they must show bravery and confidence during the next chapter of the lives.

Financial Education

With the ever-changing climate and constraints on households financially, many young people are becoming even more inquisitive to find various ways to make a living.

This workshop facilitates a creative space for young people. Giving that financial education is often not a part of the curriculum.

This workshop explores how pay works and the various opportunities afforded to participants later in life and what is needed to make better financial decisions.

Due to the context of the workshop, it is recommended that the learners are in key stage 4 as they can better understand the current climate of society and how their financial decisions can impact their immediate position and or future.

Training

We empower school staff to create positive learning environments by providing expert behaviour management training and relationship-building strategies. Our tailored workshops and ongoing support help educators effectively handle challenging behaviour while fostering strong, positive connections with pupils.
